I really strive to get to know my clients enough so that when I photograph them it doesn't feel like a business transaction but more like a couple of friends hanging out. Dakota and Nicole made that so easy for me. They're incredibly warm and open and love each other like crazy. I had so much fun photographing their e-session last winter and I knew their wedding would be nothing short of amazing. Saturday's festivities took place at the incredible Baker Street Train Station in Ft. Wayne. Dakota has always loved trains and he knew it would be the perfect venue for the two of them. And, as a photographer I just want to say thank you, thank you, thank you for choosing a venue with the most amaaaazing light! When Heidi and I walked in and saw the vaulted ceilings with sunlight streaming through the windows our jaws hit the floor. Everything had so much character and accented Dakota and Nicole's taste perfectly. Since Nicole and Dakota both work in the chemistry field they decided to mix up the unity candle tradition and performed a chemical reaction that turned two clear liquids into one blue liquid. How cool is that? Instead of the standard meat, potato and veggie dinner, they chose a taco and fajita bar complete with chips and queso. QUESO, people! We had a ridiculous amount of fun photographing your big day, Nicole & Dakota! Thank you for making it just as special for us and it was for all of your guests. Enjoy the preview!
