On Saturday Heidi and I photographed Bethany + Jose's gorgeous wedding in Goshen, Indiana. This was our first church wedding in awhile and after the July heat hit us full force we were definitely thankful for air conditioning. Jose & Bethany currently live in Maryland but are from Granger which is very close to where I grew up. They even attended my old high school, how fun! When I met them this past Spring I knew they would be so much fun to photograph and they didn't disappoint. I quickly discovered they weren't so much a sentimental, mushy couple but more of a fun-loving, silly couple constantly laughing at each other and themselves. I have so many shots of the two of them cracking up after I asked them to gaze into one another's eyes or lightly touch their foreheads. That was totally NOT their style, ha! After their beautiful ceremony at Faith Lutheran Church we headed to the Old Bag Factory, a Goshen institution, for their reception at Bread & Chocolate. We kicked things off with a sweet first dance and then one of the most emotional mother/son dances I've ever seen. One minute we're all smiling and the next everyone's grabbing for a napkin to wipe away the tears. Jose, you slayed us all! We had such a wonderful time photographing your big day, enjoy the preview, Mr. & Mrs. Zepeda!
