Saturday was our LAST wedding of the year! We photographed 21 weddings this year, the most we've ever done and I feel incredibly proud of the images we've turned out for each and every one of them. Mae + Chris' wedding was a bit more of a challenge compared to the previous weddings simply because of the below freezing temperatures. I'm not being dramatic when I say it was one of the coldest days we've had in years so doing bridal portraits outside required more courage and resolve than most couples need on their wedding day. Luckily, the wedding was held downtown at the Knights of Columbus building so there were some gorgeous vintage spaces with great light we used for most of the bridal portraits. Mae + Chris were so easy to work with and seriously so much fun to photograph as well. Along with being a ridiculously gorgeous couple, they allowed themselves to relax and have fun with each other in front of the camera. After we wrapped up bridal party portraits everyone thawed out, slipped back into their festive Christmas socks and kicked their feet up for a bit. Soon enough the guests had arrived and it was time to start the ceremony. Mae & Chris made sure they included their faith, creativity and individual personalities in the ceremony and even chose to formally sign the marriage license then and there so they were both spiritually and legally married at the same time. Such a great idea! Afterwards of course was the real party with a bit of dinner and dancing to kick it off. We had such a fantastic time photographing your big day. Congratulations again and enjoy the preview Mae + Chris!
