On Saturday Heidi and I photographed Sarah + Josh's sweet day in Shelbyville, Indiana. Sarah + Josh booked me two years ago, probably one of the longest waiting periods I've ever had but it really did make it all the more sweeter to finally witness these two tie the knot. I think one of the first things you might notice about the two of them is that they're young. Some might assume that couples so young are rushing into marriage or that they haven't yet experienced enough life to be so sure of something. But, if there's anything these two are sure of it's each other. Sarah and Josh are high school sweethearts and we even snuck away to the hallways where Josh first started flirting with Sarah to snag a quick photo. They attended the same college together and continued to nurture their relationship in a different state, hours away from their closest family and friends. Truly, every decision that brought them to this day was intentional and prayed over from the beginning. Before the ceremony the mothers prayed over Sarah and then during the ceremony all of the fathers and grandfathers were even invited up to pray over the couple. These two know the value of building their marriage on the cornerstone of faith and are lucky enough to have years of familial wisdom to draw from. One of my favorite parts of the ceremony was watching the two of them wash each other's feet in service to one another. The tenderness and adoration in their eyes was incredibly touching and I teared up right along with their parents. I could write pages about these two and their love for one another but I'd rather just let my camera do the talking. What an honor it was to photograph your wedding, Sarah and Josh! Thank you so much for trusting Heidi and I to document it all. Have an amazing time together in Tennessee and enjoy your preview while you're at it!
