After having a few weeks off in July we got back to it with Morgan + Aaron's wedding on Saturday in Williamsport, Indiana. I had been talking to Morgan for a few years about photographing her wedding but when my calendar was already booked up she decided to push her wedding BACK a year so that I could do it. I mean, what an honor right? Morgan and Aaron were both students of my husband's during his very first year of teaching (over a decade ago!) so it's a mind trip to see how grown up they are now. And speaking of time, they've been together for such a long time I think their families began to wonder when they'd ever get married! But, they have a steady, constant kind of love and so I think everyone knew marriage was always inevitable in the end. And, not only were we celebrating their marriage to one another on Saturday, but the beginning of a new family. There's no arguing that Morgan, Aaron and Emma have already been a family for a long time but there's something a little extra special about making it official. During the ceremony after pouring their three bottles of sand into one vessel Emma turned to her Mom and gave her a hug and then turned to Aaron and gave him the most earnest, loving embrace that brought him to tears. It was such a special moment and one I'll never forget. Heidi and I were so incredibly honored to document your big day. Have a wonderful trip to Tennessee and enjoy your preview!
