Lizz + Gabe | Ft. Wayne, Indiana
September 10, 2018
Last weekend was our only double header of the year and it couldn't have ended with a sweeter couple. Lizz + Gabe found me online and e-mailed me about doing their wedding this past Spring. The crazy thing was that all of Lizz's emails kept going to my Spam folder so I almost didn't even see them! OH MY GOSH. People, check your spam folders, it's not all spam, who knew?! Fate stepped in and I ended up having the day free and was able to do their wedding anyway, thank goodness. From the first time we met, these two have had a vision for their day and how they wanted it to look. I could tell everything would be absolutely perfect without a detail unchecked and when we arrived to the Embassy Theater last Sunday it all blew me away. First of all, the theater was originally built in the early 1900's and is still rockin' that vintage vibe to this day. You walk in and instantly feel like you've been transported back to the turn of the century and if you look hard enough you might even sense a few ghosts roaming the halls. Lizz + Gabe's ceremony took place on the stairway in the grand lobby with all of its ornate art deco detail on display. They were surrounded by their friends and all four of their kiddos who stood on the stairs with them and cheered them on through the entirety of the day. After the ceremony, dinner was served, and the bride and groom danced a beautifully choreographed first dance and then moved on to the partying business of the night by wearing sunglasses, long beards and rockin out to ZZ Top. That was definitely a first for us! You two are the best and we had such a wonderful time photographing your big day! I know the next year is going to be difficult on all of you when Lizz is deployed overseas so my greatest wish is that these photos are a reminder that you're all loved so much and have a support system in place to help you through when things get too heavy to carry on your own. Congratulations, again Morgan Family!
