Saturday kicked off the beginning of our 2019 wedding season with Kaitlin & Ben's big day in Zionsville, Indiana. Though the weather really gave us a run for our money, everything about their day turned out perfectly. The ceremony was held at the stunning, Zionsville United Methodist Church. If you've seen it from the road you know how impressive it is and I can promise you it's just as gorgeous inside. There wasn't a First Look so as Kaitlin walked down the aisle and Ben saw her for the very first time you could just see a day's worth of anxiety and nerves melt away. As soon as the "I do's" were said we rushed out to get some bridal portraits in before the weather got too chilly. And, guys, joke was on us because for the entirety of bridal portraits it was absolutely freezing and the rain and wind made it pretty much unbearable to be outside. Though we cut them short, I love the images we ended up with! Sometimes it really is more about quality than quantity. ;) After we got Ben & Kaitlin warmed up at the reception venue, I drug them back outside (I know, I'm awful) where it had now begun to SNOW. Yes, snow. Weather is so weird, y'all. Again, the heaviness of the snow and the brutal wind only allowed us to be out for just a minute but we managed to get some epically beautiful images. After some hilarious toasts, cake smashing, and first dances everyone took to the dance floor and only stopped long enough to watch the Purdue basketball team lose in a heartbreaking Elite 8 game against Virginia. I wasn't there for the ending but I imagine despite being disappointed everyone there still had a smile on their face as they danced the night away with the new Mr. & Mrs. Myers. Congratulations, you two! It was such an honor to document your big day.
